Experience

Kamino / Netcetera

2016–present · Slovenia

Joined Kamino as an iOS engineer in 2016; continued with Netcetera following the acquisition.

Senior iOS Engineer / Line Manager

Build and deliver features for Viseca's “one” iOS app within an organisation of two feature teams. Viseca's “one” digital service serves 2M+ users. Contribute to architecture and technical decisions as a senior engineer.

  • Contributed implementation and technical guidance across 3-D Secure, two-factor authentication and in-app verification, migration to a new identity and authentication provider, fraud detection, cockpit and account improvements, card and payment-token management, Apple Pay, dark mode, document inbox functionality, etc.
  • Collaborate with designers and product owners on feature scope and implementation trade-offs; shape mobile architecture and API contracts with backend and Android colleagues.
  • Coordinate agentic development adoption across iOS and Android teams, creating vendor-agnostic AGENTS.md instructions and reusable skills.
  • Provide technical guidance and design review for shared modernisation work: Objective-C to Swift, UIKit to SwiftUI, Swift concurrency, API refactoring and modularisation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the iOS CI/CD and release pipeline; migrated internal modules from CocoaPods to Swift Package Manager.
  • Line manager and mentor for six direct reports over time, with regular one-to-ones, career development, training support and salary-review recommendations.

iOS Engineer / Team & Technical Lead / Mobile Infrastructure

Joined as one of the first two iOS engineers and helped build GlobalID from its early stages as the international mobile organisation grew to approximately 50 engineers. The product combined digital identity, wallets, encrypted messaging, video calls and social features.

Product engineering and technical leadership
  • As feature-team technical lead, was directly responsible for technical delivery of features including onboarding, profiles, user search and account recovery.
  • Earlier, led messaging development within a smaller team in an informal technical leadership role.
  • Built early UIKit/MVVM navigation, reusable interface components and onboarding flows; remained one of the application's highest-volume code contributors over the engagement.
  • Led the team's iOS implementation of trustee-assisted account recovery, covering trustee setup and recovery flows.
  • Served as a go-to engineer for local data persistence, caching, database migrations and synchronisation issues.
Mobile infrastructure and developer tooling
  • Moved into a dedicated mobile infrastructure team during the final phase, supporting shared tooling across iOS and Android feature teams.
  • Migrated pull-request and release pipelines from Jenkins to GitHub Actions and enabled QA engineers to generate test builds from a selected branch.
  • Converted approximately 50 internal frameworks from manually wired Xcode dependencies into CocoaPods development pods, authoring more than 50 podspecs.

iOS Engineer – Agency Projects

2016–2018

Developed iOS applications and prototypes across healthcare, education, IoT, crypto wallets and augmented reality. Projects included eAsistent, a widely adopted Slovenian education platform, and Plume's white-label iOS app, including onsite collaboration in San Francisco.
